Jr. Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems for IT & IoT products, including software-integrated hardware devices.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings using tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses to ensure the reliability and performance of designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics engineers, software engineers, and product designers, to integrate hardware and software effectively.
- Develop and test prototypes, including managing 3D printing, CNC machining, or other prototyping tools.
- Identify and resolve mechanical design issues during the development and production phases.
- Assist in selecting materials and manufacturing processes that align with project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and IoT applications.
Job Requirements
- Graduate from Bachelor, Diploma degree from Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or other related majors.
- Have a minimum 1 year of experience as an Mechanical Design and Engineering or similar role, preferably in IoT or tech related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360 for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) for structural, thermal, and dynamic performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools, such as 3D printers and CNC machines.
- Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes ( injection molding, die casting, sheet metal).
- Understanding of thermal management techniques, such as heat sinks or cooling systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and engineering standards.
- Familiarity with IoT device design, including enclosures for electronic components.
