Lead. Hardware Engineer
Job Description
- Lead the end-to-end development of hardware systems for IoT-based solutions, including electronic circuit design, PCB layout, enclosure integration, and system validation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as firmware, embedded software, mechanical design, procurement, and production to ensure cohesive and timely project execution.
- Manage hardware development resources, including component selection, vendor relationships, and technical personnel.
- Analyze project requirements and propose effective and manufacturable hardware designs aligned with reliability and safety standards.
- Supervise the prototyping, functional testing, and debugging processes to validate performance and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve system capabilities and keep products ahead of industry trends.
- Drive continuous improvement through testing feedback, design iterations, and stakeholder collaboration to refine and optimize hardware products.
- Ensure hardware development aligns with budget, timeline, and quality targets across different product lines such as solar monitoring systems, smart PDUs, and fleet management devices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, while creating and managing documentation for hardware standards and processes.
Job Requirements
- Graduate from Bachelor, Diploma degree from Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or other related majors.
- Have a minimum 3 years of experience in Hardware Development with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or project coordination role.
- Proven experience leading hardware projects for IoT, including smart energy monitoring systems, data acquisition units, and embedded control devices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks and mentor the team.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ESP, AVR or STM) and embedded programming using C/C++.
- Familiar with integrating sensors, MCUs, communication modules (e.g., RS485, Modbus, CAN), and power systems.
- Experienced in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout (using Altium or similar tools), and enclosure design.
